A former student of mine named Leah posted the following message on my Facebook Wall.
hey mr. p! i hope you and your family are having a good start to 2010. (random fact: did you know the national grammar association declared “twenty-ten” to be the grammatically correct way of pronouncing this year?) anyway, this is also a random interesting thing, but my history teacher told us today at school that he had to attend a meeting to learn about ALS. he proceeded to explain a new educational technique called the Advanced Learning System. It just kind of reminded me of you because, from reading your blog and talking to you and your family, it seems like you’ve been adapting to your own advanced learning system. it’s just an amusingly formal way of phrasing it 🙂
Cool kid ya got there, Robin. The expression about apples falling from trees comes to mind.
