Fehmeen and her sisters and brother lost their grandmother this past weekend. Iqbal and his siblings lost their mother and Nasseem lost his wife and partner of sixty-plus years.
Zahra Nasseem Khan was a kind, compassionate, and cordial woman who brought joy to her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, socializing, and spending time with the people she loved.
The world is a less illuminated place without her here. Good bye, Mama.

Mama, Papa, and Emma
What a beautiful tribute! How very nice of you to post for all to see and remember our dear Zahra Nasseem Khan. We will miss her very much. She was so proud of her ‘great-grand-daughter, Emma.’ When they, Zahra and Nasseem were here in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan in March of this year, I told her how cute the little Bug, Emma is and that I can not wait to see her. Without any hesitation, Zahra, quickly, as she always, without fail would say, ” don’t spoil her name, by calling her anything other than her very pretty name, “Emma”. Zahra was passionate about given names. She simply did not approve of anyone nick-naming anyone, especially, any one of her family members. She loved her family and always wanted everyone to be close and, as she would say, “be loving, life is too short.” I loved her, and I will definitely miss her presence amongst us. Zahra was my sister-in-law, but, was like a mother to me, as I knew her longer than my own mother. I have known Zahra all my life. She is in a better place meeting all the departed souls who were close to her here on earth.
Again, thanks so much for the posting.
